Make a picture editable: change the text in a poster or invitation
Turn a flat picture into a design where the text can be changed and the pieces moved.
A JPG or PNG is a flat grid of pixels. The words in a wedding invitation photo or an AI-generated poster are not text you can retype; they are just coloured dots. To change a name, a date or a phone number, the picture has to be rebuilt as a design.
What "make editable" does
- Reads the text: NODU finds every line of text, the words, and their size, colour and position.
- Separates the pieces: pictures and shapes on the design become separate pieces you can move, resize or delete.
- Fills the background: the space behind the text and pieces is filled from the picture around it, so nothing shows when you move or delete them. Moving a piece later refills the spot it left.
- Creates an editable design: the text comes back as real, editable text, ready to change in the JUST NODU editor and export as PDF, PNG or JPG.
Free, with optional paid AI
Making a picture editable is free: NODU does all of the above itself, without AI. For difficult pictures you can add AI options, paid once per picture with no subscription: ₹49 for the AI clean background, watermark removal or regenerate, and ₹99 for the high-quality recreation or clean vector redraw. In the Android app they are paid through Google Play, on justnodu.com with UPI, card or net banking. If the AI cannot finish the job, the payment stays available for your next try.
Simple pictures (plain or gradient backgrounds) separate very well without AI. Busy photo backgrounds may stay as one picture behind the text; that is where the AI clean background helps.
Getting the best result
- Use the largest, sharpest version of the picture you have. Screenshots of forwarded WhatsApp images lose detail.
- Crop away phone frames, borders and other content that is not part of the design.
- Decorative and handwritten lettering may come back in the closest available font. Use Font Finder to pick a better match afterwards.
- Check every name, number and date after editing. AI reading is very good, but a human check before printing is always worth it.
Kannada and other Indian languages
Text in Kannada and other scripts is read as Unicode. If the final design is going to software that needs Nudi fonts, convert it as explained in Unicode to Nudi.
